I am a lazy man's genealogist. My father got me interested, and I have pursued that interest as far as internet research (and a few detours to see gravestones and old houses) have taken me. I love early American / colonial history, and, as luck would have it, I have plenty of ancestors that emigrated early. From those many, I have found a few that led rather colorful lives, which is the best part of this hobby -- vicariously reliving a little chunk of history through learning about the exploits of my ancestors.
